Tuberculosis screening

UK HealthCare employees are required to visit Employee Health for a TB screening and compliance review appointment sometime during their birth month.

Make an appointment, bring your badge

Make an appointment during your birth month. If you are given a TB skin test, you will need to return two days later so the test area may be examined.

• Call 323-APPT (2778) or
• Use the online self-scheduling service accessible via the MyUK portal.

If you arrive at Employee Health without an appointment scheduled you will be given the next available opening, and wait times for walk-ins can be long.

Bring your UK HealthCare badge to your visit. If you don’t have your badge, your current UK Staff ID card and a photo ID are acceptable. If you do not have your current UK Staff ID card, you may purchase a temporary badge at the security office in UK Chandler Hospital Pavilion A.

If this is your first visit to Employee Health

Bring your immunization record with you.

Your record should include the dates received of the following vaccinations:
• Measles, Mumps & Rubella
• Varicella
• Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (Tdap) (The adult dose; different than the pediatric immunization.)
• Hepatitis B series
• Most recent TB screening
If you are missing any immunizations, and they are required by your position, we can administer them during your visit.

If you live outside Fayette County and your place of work is also outside Fayette County, call 859-218-3257 to discuss your visit. We might be able to arrange your evaluation closer to your home or office.
