  • Accidental childhood injury can be prevented

Preventable injuries continue to be the leading cause of death among children in the United States. Each year, 8,000 families lose a child because of a preventable injury. When a child dies, the lives of families are changed forever.

Millions more children are injured every year. In the United States, nearly 9 million children are treated for injuries in emergency rooms each year. These are often serious injuries that can affect them for a lifetime.

  • Resources

Kids of all ages are curiously active by nature. Keep safety in mind as busy youth go from one activity to another. Remember to buckle up for every ride, wear a helmet, keep watch while on or around water, and always look both ways when crossing the street.
