John A. Yozwiak received his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky in 2003. He completed his internship in clinical psychology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison in the Department of Psychiatry, which was followed by a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, Calif.

Prior to returning to Lexington, Ky. in 2008, Yozwiak was a staff psychologist at the University of Minnesota Medical School in the Department of Medicine, Minneapolis.
