Additional information

My name is Lesley Wong; I specialize in burn surgery, wound management and general reconstructive plastic surgery, including breast reconstruction and post-traumatic injuries. I also have an interest in cosmetic breast and body-contouring procedures.

After receiving my medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, I completed a residency in general surgery at New York University Medical Center and one in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins University. I also completed fellowships in research and burn/critical care at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Prior to coming to the University of Kentucky, I was director of the Burn Unit and Wound Healing Center at Erlanger Health Systems and was on the faculty of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga.

I currently am the Director of the Burn Unit at the University of Kentucky. My current research includes outcomes of breast reconstruction and peripheral nerve regeneration.
