Navin Rajagopalan is the Medical Director of Cardiac Transplantation at the University of Kentucky. He completed both his undergraduate degree and medical school training at The Ohio State University. He completed internal medicine residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota before moving on to the University of Pittsburgh for a cardiovascular fellowship. Following completion of his fellowship, he obtained an additional year of training at the University of Pittsburgh in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation.

Rajagopalan was on faculty for 2 years in the Heart Failure/Transplantation program at the University of Pittsburgh before being recruited to the University of Kentucky. He has served as Medical Director of the Heart Transplant Program since 2009.

His clinical interests include advanced heart failure, peripartum cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac transplantation.
