Jeremiah Martin, an assistant professor of surgery at the UK College of Medicine, specializes in thoracic surgery and oncology, minimally invasive surgery utilizing the da Vinci® Surgical System, and foregut surgery.

Martin received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed a general surgery residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Conn., and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital. He also completed a lung transplant/minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.

Martin primarily sees patients who have lung, esophageal or other thoracic malignancies, although he also assesses and treats other general thoracic problems, including reflux and paraesophageal hernia.
