Ramakrishna Venkatesh specializes in advanced laparoscopic procedures of the kidney and prostate, treatment of complex stone problems, and renal and prostate surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System.

After receiving his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India, Venkatesh completed a residency in the United Kingdom and completed a fellowship in minimally invasive urology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. He comes to Lexington after more than five years on faculty at Washington University.

His areas of surgical and research interest include studying ureteral activity and development of novel techniques in minimally invasive urology including single-port laparoscopy.
