Driss Raissi, MD

Biography

My name is Driss Raissi; I completed my residency in Internal Medicine and a DIRECT Pathway residency in Interventional Radiology at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Radiology. I serve as an Assistant Professor in both the department of Radiology and Medicine at the University of Kentucky.

I am especially interested in vascular trauma, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), advanced embolization techniques and women's health, the latter of which prompted him to found the Uterine Fibroid Program as a joint venture with the OB-GYN department, providing minimally invasive procedure options for women who suffer from fibroids. I have published several papers and presented at various national and international conferences.
