Jeremiah (Jerry) T. Martin, MD

My name is Jeremiah Martin; I am an assistant professor of surgery at the UK College of Medicine. I specialize in thoracic surgery and oncology, minimally invasive surgery utilizing the da Vinci® Surgical System, and foregut surgery.

I received my medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. I completed a general surgery residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Conn., and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital. I also completed a lung transplant/minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.

I primarily see patients who have lung, esophageal or other thoracic malignancies, although I also assess and treat other general thoracic problems, including reflux and paraesophageal hernia.
