Markey Cancer Center depends on private contributions from individuals and organizations to maintain its leading role in innovative research initiatives, education for the public and healthcare professionals, and compassionate cancer care.

These gifts allow the Markey Cancer Center the flexibility to explore and fund new opportunities as they arise and to continue our tradition of groundbreaking research.

Gifts to the University of Kentucky
The University of Kentucky can receive gifts on behalf of the Markey Cancer Center. Gifts that support research may qualify for matching funds from various sources, directly doubling the impact each gift can have.

Gifts to Markey Cancer Foundation
The Markey Cancer Foundation is another fund-raising and gift-receiving organization for the cancer center. The Markey Cancer Foundation, Inc., is a private, community-based corporation which has raised more than $50 million to date to provide the facilities and to support the programs of the Markey Cancer Center. The foundation works with the cancer center to offer donors a variety of gift options, including planned gifts.
