The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases is involved in the diagnosis and management of infants, children and adolescents with acute and chronic infectious diseases. Division faculty members accept referrals of patients from primary care providers and other physicians with challenging infectious disease problems or conditions in which an infectious disease is under consideration.
Children's are different than adults so when your primary care provider seeks assistance in evaluating and managing certain infections or conditions in which an infection may be the cause of your child's symptoms, they may request that we evaluate your child.
We serve a diverse population in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at Kentucky Children's Hospital and the Kentucky Clinic and work with your primary care provider and other care providers in evaluating and managing children with infectious diseases.
